Registration for the academic program 2018-19

Attention bassists, brass players and saxophonists:

Generous preferred-instrument grants for the Academic Program in cooperation with the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music New-York.

A four-year undergraduate program for outstanding students, in which students study in Israel for the first two years according to the “New School” program of studies, and two additional years of their undergraduate studies at The New School For Jazz and Contemporary Music, NY – towards a  BFA degree in Jazz performance from the “New School.”

The Program accommodates 50 students -25 each academic year – who meet the high prerequisites of the program. The “New School” awards a BFA degree to students who complete at least 128 credits during four years of study. Students who study two years at the Israel Center and complete their studies successfully, will get credit for their studies in Israel, which amounts to half of the overall credits required for the BFA at the “New School,” New-York.

The “New School” is considered one of the most renowned schools worldwide. Among its celebrated alumnae are: Avishai Cohen, Brad Mehlsau, Peter Bernstein, Sam Yahel, Larry Golding and many others.
