Hermann Leopoldi b. 1888 in Vienna, d. 1959 in Vienna, was one of Austria’s greatest piano humorists and composers of popular songs. He survived detention at the Dachau and Buchenwald concentration camps 1938/39 and emigrated to the US in February, 1939. Leopoldi returned to Vienna in 1947. His songs, like „In einem kleinen Café in Hernals“, „Schön ist so ein Ringelspiel“, „Powidltatschkerln“, „Wiener Bonbonniere“, „Heut spielt der Uridil“, „Schucki, ach Schnucki“ …. continue to be sung and hummed as popular evergreens. A number have been translated into English, like “I am a Quiet Drinker”, or “A little Café down the Street”.

Andrea Eckert is an actress who has performed i. a. at Theater in der Josefstadt, Wiener Volkstheater, Wiener Burgtheater and Frankfurter Schauspielhaus. In 2010, she received the honorary title Kammerschauspielerin from the Austrian Federal President. She was actress oft he year 2014 in Austria.

Béla Koreny is a composer, actor, manager of musical festivals and a classical and jazz pianist. He composed over 50 pieces of film music and a large number of Chansons. He is an amazing pianist and has been performing with Andrea Eckert for many years already. It’s the 5th concert of Andrea Eckert and Bela Koreny in Israel in course of the Austrian Culture Days in Tel Aviv.
