Tel Aviv International Recorder Competition – TARF 2022

The Tel Aviv International Recorder Competition is a part of TARF – Tel Aviv Recorder Festival.

The competition was established in 2018, and had quickly developed to be one of the main international recorder events in the world.

Since TARF 2 (2019) we have hosted each year more than a 100 competitors from 4 continents and more than 25 countries.

TARF is a competition that aims to encourage the professional development of aspiring recorder players and to cultivate Israeli music for the recorder, alongside putting a spotlight upon music composed by women all through history.

The week-long event brings together players from all over the world, across age groups, of different religions and backgrounds, all to join to create a community of players and lovers of the recorder. The competition is open to soloists and ensembles of all nationalities and all ages.
