Chief Rabbi Paul Chaim Eisenberg was born in Vienna and comes from an important family of rabbis. 1983, after the death of his father, he took over the role as chief rabbi of Vienna. Apart from serving as chief rabbi, he frequently performs as a singer, i.e. during the annual KlezMore-Festival and the cantor’s concert in Vienna. He was a close friend of Shlomo Carlebach and used to sing with him on stage, when ever Carlebach visited Vienna.

Many of the songs will be songs by Shlomo Carlebach, who was born in Baden (close to Vienna) and had his Bar Mitzva there.
